Deactivation Airtel Broadband Connection Permanently Or Temporary

Step 3: If you have understood all the details then you can submit the deactivation request for your ‘Airtel Broadband Connection’.

Step 4: After submitting the request please collect the request number from the store.

Step 5: Your ‘Airtel Broadband Connection’ will get deactivated within the time span of the next three working days.

Step 6: After three working days further you will receive a call from the customer care executive for the purpose of verifying that whether your connection has been deactivated or not.

2) Through Email

Customers can also submit the request for deactivating this service through email to the customer care.

These are the certain steps that need to be followed for deactivating this service via email.

Step 1: Customers need to submit the deactivation request on 121@airtel.in for discontinuing this service.

Step 2: It will take 3 working days for the purpose of deactivating this service.

Step 3: You can check if your ‘Airtel Broadband Connection’ has been deactivated or not after 3 days. Moreover, if it’s not deactivated then in case either contact customer care or any nearby Airtel store.

3) Through Call

Customers can also submit the request for deactivating this service by calling the customer care executive.

These are the certain steps which need to be followed for deactivating this service by contacting the customer care.

Step 1: Customers need to dial 121 for the purpose of contacting the customer care and submit the request for deactivating the ‘Airtel Broadband Connection’

Step 2: Although if you’re unable to contact the customer care then, in that case, you can also contact any Airtel broadband service which is near to your area.

Step 3:It will take 3 working days for the purpose of deactivating this service.

Temporary De-Activation of Airtel Broadband Connection

Airtel offers temporary deactivation of the broadband connection through the ‘Safe Custody Mode’. There are two options available and customers can avail either one of them for the purpose of either activating or deactivating the broadband connection temporarily.

1) Through Call

Customers can also submit the request for deactivating this service temporarily by calling the customer care executive.

One can simply contact the customer care by dialling 121 and need to ask them to activate any one of the particular options which come under safe custody for the purpose of temporarily deactivating the broadband connection.

Your ‘Airtel Broadband Connection’ will get deactivated on a temporary basis within the time span of the next 4 hours and bills will be sent to you on a monthly basis for the days until which you were using the connection.

3) Through ‘Airtel Thanks App’

These are the certain steps that need to be followed for deactivating this service on a provisional basis.

Step 1: Download ‘ Airtel Thanks App’ from Playstore or App store which is available on your smartphone.

Step 2: Open the ‘Airtel Thanks App’ and choose the specific landline connection from the available options which you want to deactivate.

Step 3: Click on the option ‘Manage Services’ for the next step.

Step 4: Choose whether you want to Activate/ De-Activate Safe Custody which is also known as Temporary Suspension of Broadband Connection.

Step 5: Switch on the button which is available beside the ‘Safe Custody’ for the purpose of temporary deactivating your broadband connection.

Step 6: Now click on the option ‘Activate’ for deactivating the broadband connection on a temporary basis via Safe Custody Mode.

Step 7: You will be receiving a confirmation message or either an email from Airtel stating that

Safe custody/Number locker facility has been activated on your Airtel Xstream Fiber or Fixedline number and your broadband connection will get deactivated on a temporary basis.

Well, it’s obvious that recharge packs and broadband connections are affordable but since the past few years, many of the telecom companies are increasing the cost of these packs which is not bearable by everyone. Also due to the implementation of lockdown many people have started working from home which requires the necessity of using the broadband connection. It would be better at some extent if the telecom companies could reduce down the price or charges of broadband connections so that people avail it more rather than deactivating this service. Moreover, if someone doesn’t want to use it regularly then they can also opt for the temporary deactivation of this service.
