Failure To Send Messages in JIO Sim

If you are a JIO network user and are not being able to send messages then the following solutions can help you identify the issue and resolve them.

Reasons and Solutions

• Mobile Number Portability (MNP) can be one of the reasons for the failure to send and receive messages. If you have done an MNP from a different network to JIO, then the Message service will start after 3-24 hours from the time of activation.

Solution: Reach out to Jio customer care. Dial 18008899999

• Another reason might be that the user has not sent any messages for the last 3 months. Therefore, the messaging services have been deactivated.

Solution: You can dial JIO customer care and get it reactivated.

• Check the phone number in the message setting on the phone. You can check it via Message Settings → SMS Centre Number.

• The date and time should be correctly set on your phone. Wrong date and time may result in messages not being delivered from the JIO number.
• You can set your JIO number on Manual mode. Restart the phone after changing it into Manual mode.
