Instagram will introduce a new feature in the profile design in which the design will emphasize the user instead of his follower count. The feature is under test and will soon be launched. After launch, users will find a new profile layout in which buttons, icons, and ways of navigation will be changed. The major change will be that follower count will not appear on top and will be in a smaller font. Instagram is introducing this feature due to fake followers, comments, and likes.
Users will see the Follow and Message button side-by-side and mutual followers will appear when the user will click the Following tab. The grids, posts, and tagged photos will be in text form and not as an icon while IGTV will have its tab. The changes will help a user to connect with his followers easily. The users having business accounts will find the new Shop tab beside Directions, Call, and Start Order buttons.

The company has told that the tests will be done in phases and the changes will be made according to the users’ feedback. Instagram is also planning to remove inauthentic likes, comments, and follows from the third party apps. In order to accomplish this, the company has made a tool called Machine Learning that will check the accounts that use third-party apps for likes and follows.
