What Is PCU In Electrical

PCU stands for Power Control Unit which was developed by DENSO to use in electric vehicles and motor-driven hybrids. There are three components of PCU that are: an inverter that provides power to the motor, a boost converter for enhancing the voltage, and a DCDC converter to decrease the voltage. While accelerating, PCU transforms the electric power of the battery from DC to AC and then provides power to the motor. While decelerating, it transforms electric power from AC to DC for recovering the regenerated electric power.
