3 Common Ways To Update Jio Message Center Number

Via USSD Code

  • Step 1: Open the dialing keypad on your smartphone
  • Step 2: Enter USSD Code: *#*#4636#*#*
  • Step 3: You will see 4 different options, i.e., Phone Information, Battery Information, Usage Statistics, and WLAN Information. Tap on the Phone Information menu
  • Step 4: Look for the SMSC or Message Centre option at the bottom and click on it once you locate it
  • Step 5: Cross-check the SMS Centre Number
  • Step 6: If it’s incorrect enter the correct SMSC number as per your state from the table mentioned above. Make sure the format is correct. For Example +91 7010075009
  • Step 7: Lastly, press on the Update option to apply the changes, and your Jio Message Center Number is changed successfully
  • Step 8: Long press the power button and restart your smartphone
  • Step 9: Send a message to someone in your contacts to confirm if Jio Message Not Sending is resolved or not. If your messages get delivered and you also receive a message delivery report then it’s an indication that you can now send and receive SMS on your Jio number

Through Device Default Settings

  • Step 1: Launch Messages App
  • Step 2: Tap on three vertical dots displayed in the lower right screen area
  • Step 3: Opt for the Settings menu
  • Step 4: Tap on the Advanced option to open up advanced settings
  • Step 5: Click on the SIM SMS Centre out of SIM 1 or SIM 2 to see the SMSC number
  • Step 6: Enter the right SMSC number if it’s incorrect and tap on the Save option. Restart the device and send a test message to another number to confirm the changes

From Message Settings

  • Step 1: Simply, open the Message App
  • Step 2: Click on “Menu” > “Settings”
  • Step 3: Tap on the Message Centre located at the bottom. The SMSC number page will pop up on your screen
  • Step 4: Click on the SMSC number to edit it.

Alternative Option: Type 1234 if this section is empty and then press the OK option

  • Step 5: Power off your device and start it again
  • Step 6: Send a sample text to check whether messages are getting delivered or not
